The First Post

For this first post, I think we'll start off slow - I don't want to alienate any followers before I even GET them!

For years in Japan, people have taken the luxury models of Toyota (Lexus) and Nissan (Infiniti), added ultra-luxury accessories such as plush leather upholstery, curtains, and woodgrain accents, then lowered the stance on big wheels with as much dish as possible.  This became known as "Vip."

This 1997 Infiniti Q45 was my personal venture into the Vip scene:

Feel free to email me for any details, but here's a quick rundown: Black paint over black leather interior, 19" SSR Vienna Dish wheels (9" fronts, 10" rears), S14 240sx front suspension conversion with fully controllable air ride suspension, and an in-dash Pioneer DVD system.

These cars sold for around $50,000 new, but you can grab one for as low as $5,000 these days!  And because you're dealing with a Nissan, they are still very reliable.  Spend a couple grand on top of that for wheels and suspension mods, and you're "Ballin' on a budget"!

We'll get to something a bit less common tomorrow- be sure to tune in!
